ZN AQUA is an excellent filter medium for aquariums as it captures ammonium ions due to its natural cation exchange capacity and high affinity for ammonia. It also acts as a host for the beneficial bacteria which colonise the microporous stucture and then work to break down the captured ammonia. It is an efficient solid particle filter also, and can remove solid particles down to 5 microns, keeping the water crystal clear. 

The 2-5mm granule size is ideal for use in smaller aquarium filters.
